Madhya Pradesh's food safety department has sealed a food production unit in Bhopal's Acharpura Industrial Area following a raid that uncovered severe hygiene lapses and licensing irregularities.

Authorities in Bhopal have taken action against BK Food Products, a factory located in the Acharpura Industrial Area. The food safety department sealed the premises after discovering significant violations.

During the inspection, officials found that the factory was operating with an FSSAI license registered under an incorrect address. This discrepancy raised immediate concerns regarding the legitimacy of its operations.

Further investigations revealed serious hygiene issues, with food items being prepared in unsanitary conditions. The presence of eggs stored alongside vegetarian food ingredients was also noted as a critical irregularity, indicating potential cross-contamination risks.
