The health department and municipal corporation of Bhopal are joining forces to combat the spread of dengue, chikungunya, and malaria in the city. As part of this initiative, empty plots and construction sites with stagnant water will be identified and penalized. The campaign aims to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes that spread these diseases.
The authorities will first issue warnings to the owners of such plots and sites, giving them a chance to take corrective action. If the water is not cleared, a fine will be imposed.
This move is expected to help reduce the incidence of these diseases in Bhopal and create a healthier environment for its residents.
