On Shravana Shukla Paksha Shashthi, devotees witnessed a grand bhasma arati for Baba Mahakal at Ujjain’s Mahakaleshwar Temple, where the saint was anointed with Panchamrit and fruit juices and presented with a new silver crown.
On the sixth day of the bright fortnight of Shravana, thousands of devotees gathered at the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain to witness the bhasma arati of Baba Mahakal.
The ceremony began with the anointment of the saint with panchamrit and fruit juices, symbolising purification and devotion. Following the ritual, a newly crafted silver crown was presented to Baba Mahakal as a mark of reverence.
The event was conducted in the renowned Ganesh Vani Akhara, concluding with the offering of ash and the chanting of hymns, drawing the faithful into a collective spiritual experience.
