The BCCI has been asked to investigate an alleged scoring mistake that occurred during the U19 women’s T20 clash between Jharkhand and Uttarakhand.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) received a formal request to look into a scoring irregularity reported in the under‑19 women’s Twenty‑20 match between Jharkhand and Uttarakhand. The issue was raised after the match officials’ scoreboard appeared to misrecord runs, prompting concerns from team officials and observers.
According to the complaint, the discrepancy affected the final total, leading to questions about the match outcome and the integrity of the tournament’s record‑keeping. The BCCI has confirmed that it will launch an inquiry, reviewing match footage, scorecards and statements from the umpires and team managers.
The probe aims to determine whether a procedural error occurred and to recommend corrective measures to prevent similar incidents in future age‑group tournaments. No disciplinary action has been announced pending the investigation’s findings.
