Assam Dispatches 7-MLA Delegation to Himachal to Study Monkey Control Measures

Assam has announced plans to dispatch a delegation of seven Members of the Legislative Assembly to Himachal Pradesh. The purpose of the visit is to study the state’s measures for controlling the growing monkey menace that has affected local communities. BJP MLA Mrinal Saikia confirmed the initiative, noting that Assam faces similar challenges with stray monkeys in several districts. The delegation will observe Himachal’s enforcement strategies, wildlife management protocols, and community outreach programs before adopting suitable practices back home.
