The forecast covers the eastern and central districts, where cloud cover is expected to bring intense downpours. Residents are advised to stay indoors and secure loose objects. The Department has also highlighted that the heavy rains may affect transportation, especially in remote hilly areas. Roads could become slippery, and some passes may close temporarily. The alert remains in force until Sunday evening, after which the situation is expected to improve.
