The Arunachal Pradesh government has set a goal to cut road deaths by half by 2030, according to a statement reported by The Times of India.
The state government of Arunachal Pradesh announced a target to reduce road‑traffic deaths by 50 per cent by the year 2030. The objective was disclosed by the state ministry responsible for transport and road safety in a recent statement.
Officials said the reduction will be pursued through a combination of stricter enforcement of traffic laws, improved highway infrastructure, and public awareness campaigns on safe driving practices. The plan also envisages better emergency response services along major routes.
The 2030 target aligns with the central government's broader road‑safety agenda and will be monitored through periodic data collection on accidents and fatalities across the state.
