The Federation of All India Textile and Trade Association (FAITTA) has contributed Rs 81.36 lakh to Assam’s Chief Minister Relief Fund, according to Daily Excelsior.

FAITTA, a national federation representing textile and trade interests, has transferred a sum of Rs 81.36 lakh to the Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) of Assam. The donation was reported by Daily Excelsior and reflects the organisation's commitment to supporting state-level relief initiatives.

The CMRF, managed by the Assam government, is earmarked for emergency response, disaster mitigation and rehabilitation programmes across the state. Contributions to the fund are typically used to address floods, landslides and other calamities that affect vulnerable communities.

FAITTA indicated that the contribution is intended to bolster the fund’s capacity to deliver timely assistance during crises. The association hopes that the infusion of resources will enhance the effectiveness of relief operations and provide immediate support to affected families.

State officials have welcomed the donation, noting that private sector participation strengthens the overall disaster response framework. The fund will allocate the amount as per its established guidelines, ensuring that the money reaches those in need promptly.
