The Arunachal Congress has condemned the detention of Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi as arbitrary and illegal, demanding their immediate release.

The Arunachal Congress, a regional party in Arunachal Pradesh, released a statement today condemning the detention of Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi as "arbitrary and illegal".

The leaders, who were arrested earlier this week on charges related to political agitation, have been held in custody in New Delhi. The party called the action a political move aimed at stifling dissent.

Arunachal Congress demanded that the central government immediately release the Gandhis and review the legal basis of their arrest. It also urged the judiciary to intervene.

The party said it would file a petition in the Supreme Court and seek a review of the case, while calling on the public to support the cause of democratic rights.
