Senior Andhra Pradesh ministers highlighted the state's potential to become a global manufacturing hub during the CII regional summit held in Visakhapatnam. They outlined infrastructure incentives and policy support aimed at attracting investment.
At the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) regional summit in Vizag, ministers from the Andhra Pradesh government presented a roadmap to position the state as a preferred destination for manufacturing. They emphasized the state's strategic location, port connectivity, and skilled workforce as key advantages.
The officials announced several incentive packages, including tax benefits, land allocation at reduced rates, and single-window clearance mechanisms designed to ease the setup of new industrial units. They also highlighted ongoing projects such as the Vizag-Chennai Industrial Corridor and upgrades to the Visakhapatnam Port.
Industry representatives present at the summit welcomed the proposals, noting that a clear policy framework could help attract both domestic and foreign direct investment. The ministers urged stakeholders to collaborate in building sustainable manufacturing ecosystems across sectors like electronics, automobiles, and pharmaceuticals.
The summit concluded with a commitment to hold follow-up meetings to monitor progress and address any implementation challenges. Andhra Pradesh aims to increase its share of national manufacturing output significantly over the next five years.
