Officials said the move is intended to bridge the information gap in rural and urban pockets, ensuring that citizens receive timely updates about subsidies, health initiatives, and skill‑development schemes. By leveraging platforms such as YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, the government hopes to make scheme details more accessible and engaging.

The cabinet decision, taken during a meeting chaired by the chief minister, also calls for a monitoring mechanism to prevent misinformation and to maintain the credibility of official communications.
