Opposition parties in Andhra Pradesh have demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation inquiry into alleged irregularities in recent teacher recruitment, a charge the Telugu Desam Party says is unfounded.
Opposition leaders in Andhra Pradesh have formally requested that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) examine the recent recruitment process for school teachers, alleging procedural lapses and possible favoritism.
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP), a major regional player, has rejected the accusations, stating that the recruitment was conducted in accordance with existing rules and that the opposition's demand is politically motivated.
Political analysts note that the controversy could intensify ahead of upcoming state elections, with both sides using the issue to rally their bases. The state government has not yet commented on whether it will invite a CBI probe, leaving the matter unresolved for now.
