Heritage pieces made of metal and wood, dating back 4,000 years in Chhattisgarh, are set to be sold as Prime Minister mementos in an upcoming auction.
A collection of ancient artefacts from Chhattisgarh, crafted in metal and wood and estimated to be around four millennia old, will be offered at an auction as memorabilia linked to the Prime Minister. The items, described by heritage experts as rare examples of early Indian craftsmanship, reflect the cultural and artistic traditions of the region.
The auction, announced by the organising committee, aims to bring these historically significant pieces to a broader audience while generating funds for heritage preservation initiatives. Potential buyers include private collectors, museums and cultural institutions interested in early Indian metalwork and wooden art.
Officials said the sale does not involve any political endorsement; the items are being presented solely as historical mementos. The auction date and bidding platform will be disclosed in the coming days, with interested parties advised to register in advance.
If the auction proceeds as planned, the proceeds are expected to support conservation projects in Chhattisgarh, helping safeguard other endangered artefacts and promote research into the state's ancient material culture.
