AIIMS Guwahati and TRIHMS Hold Workshop on Evidence‑Based Healthcare in Arunachal Pradesh

AIIMS Guwahati, in collaboration with the Tribal Health Institute of Meghalaya (TRIHMS), organized a two‑day workshop in Arunachal Pradesh to reinforce the use of evidence‑based approaches in the state's healthcare system. The program brought together doctors, public‑health officials and medical educators from across the region to discuss recent research findings and practical implementation strategies.

Participants examined case studies on disease surveillance, maternal‑child health interventions and the integration of digital health tools. Trainers from AIIMS highlighted protocols for data collection, analysis and translation of research into clinical guidelines.

The workshop concluded with a consensus to develop a state‑wide framework that will standardize treatment protocols and encourage continuous medical education. Officials said the initiative aims to improve patient outcomes and reduce variability in care delivery throughout Arunachal Pradesh.

State health authorities expressed optimism that the collaborative effort will strengthen capacity building and foster a culture of scientific rigor among frontline health workers.
