ACME Solar has secured a Rs 1,571 crore loan from IIFCL to fund its 300 MW solar power project in Rajasthan, accelerating the state's renewable capacity expansion.
ACME Solar Ltd announced that the Indian Infrastructure Finance Company Ltd (IIFCL) has approved financing of Rs 1,571 crore for its upcoming 300‑megawatt solar power plant in Rajasthan.
The funding will cover a major portion of the project's capital expenditure, enabling the company to move ahead with land acquisition, equipment procurement and construction. The plant is expected to add 300 MW of renewable capacity to the state's grid, supporting India's target of 450 GW solar capacity by 2030.
IIFCL, a government‑backed lender, has been focusing on clean‑energy projects under its green financing portfolio. The loan agreement is part of its broader strategy to mobilise private capital for India's energy transition.
ACME Solar, founded in 2015, has previously commissioned several utility‑scale solar farms across the country. The Rajasthan project, slated to commence in early 2025, is expected to generate enough electricity to power approximately 5 million homes.
