ABVP members staged a protest at Shailabala Women’s College in Cuttack, claiming that certain names had been removed from a list, prompting a heated demonstration.
A protest erupted at Shailabala Women’s College in Cuttack as members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) gathered to voice their grievances. The demonstrators gathered on the college premises, drawing the attention of students and passers‑by.
According to the ABVP participants, the trigger for the protest was the alleged removal of certain names from an official list, a step they say undermines transparency and fairness. The students demanded clarification and the reinstatement of the omitted names.
College authorities have not released an official statement regarding the allegations or the protest. The situation remains under observation as the campus community awaits further clarification.
The incident reflects the broader pattern of student‑political activism on Indian campuses, where student wings of national parties often intervene in institutional matters.
