ABVP activists staged a ‘hunkar’ rally in Bhopal, singling out senior politicians Digvijay Singh and Rahul Gandhi along with student leader Neha Bora, while the organization’s national secretary warned of external forces seeking to create unrest.
ABVP members assembled in Bhopal for a "hunkar" demonstration, a form of protest commonly used by the student organization to voice its concerns. The rally was marked by chants and placards that specifically named senior political figures.
The demonstrators directed their slogans at former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijay Singh, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and student activist Neha Bora, indicating a focus on both national and local political personalities.
During the event, the ABVP national secretary referenced Bangladesh, alleging that certain elements were attempting to sow disorder in the country. He warned that such external influences threatened the stability of constitutional institutions.
The protest underscores ongoing tensions between student political groups and mainstream politicians, with the ABVP framing the issue as a defence of democratic structures against perceived subversive activities.
