Abhishek Banerjee’s birthday celebration turned into a political showdown between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal.
Abhishek Banerjee, the leader of the All India Trinamool Congress, celebrated his birthday in West Bengal, but the event quickly became a battleground for the rival parties.
During the festivities, members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a protest, accusing the ruling Trinamool Congress of misgovernance and demanding accountability.
The BJP’s demonstration was met with a counter‑display by Trinamool Congress supporters, who defended their party’s record and pledged to continue their campaign for the state’s development.
The clash drew attention from state officials, who called for calm and urged both parties to resolve differences through dialogue rather than public confrontations.
The incident underscores the heightened political tensions in West Bengal ahead of upcoming elections, with both parties intensifying their outreach to voters.
