In a ceremony held in Shillong, the Meghalaya Chief Minister honoured 46 athletes for their achievements in various sports disciplines. The event, organised by the state sports department, aimed to recognise the athletes’ dedication and to motivate others.

During the felicitation, the Chief Minister emphasised the state’s commitment to providing training facilities, coaching and financial assistance to help athletes compete at national and international levels. He highlighted the importance of exposure and experience for the athletes’ growth.
