She was expected to return shortly, but she did not come back, and her family reported her missing after three days of no contact.
On Thursday, local villagers discovered Anita's body inside a privately owned well on the outskirts of the village. The well, which is not publicly accessible, was reportedly being used for irrigation. Authorities were called to the site, and a preliminary examination confirmed that the remains were those of the missing teenager.
Anita's relatives, who arrived at the well after the discovery, expressed strong suspicion that she may have been a victim of foul play. They have demanded a thorough investigation, alleging that the circumstances surrounding the death point to possible homicide rather than an accidental drowning.
