129 female cadets of the Gwalior NCC Officers Training Academy completed a 45‑day rigorous course and were commissioned as officers in a passing‑out parade presided over by Lt Gen Sushruta Sen Gupta.

Gwalior – A cohort of 129 women cadets from the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Officers Training Academy successfully concluded a 45‑day intensive military programme and were awarded officer ranks during a formal passing‑out parade. The ceremony was overseen by Lieutenant General Sushruta Sen Gupta, who presented the ranks to each cadet.

The training, described by officials as “rigorous and comprehensive,” covered physical conditioning, weapons handling, drill, and leadership modules designed to prepare the cadets for future roles in the defence services and related civilian sectors.

The graduation marks a significant milestone for the participants, many of whom are the first in their families to attain such a position. The NCC, a youth development wing of the Indian Armed Forces, aims to instill discipline and patriotism, and the successful commissioning of this all‑female batch underscores its growing emphasis on gender inclusion.

State authorities praised the achievement, noting that the event reflects Madhya Pradesh’s commitment to empowering young women through structured defence‑related training.

The newly commissioned officers will now be eligible for further postings within the NCC framework or may pursue regular entry into the Indian Armed Forces, subject to additional qualifications.
