સુરત સહિત સમગ્ર દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતમાં મેઘરાજા મન મૂકી વરસી રહ્યા છે. સતત વરસાદને પગલે નવસારી જિલ્લામાંથી પસાર થતી અંબિકા નદીમાં પાણીની આવક નોંધપાત્ર રીતે વધી છે. નદીમાં પાણીનું સ્તર વધતા સલામતીના ભાગરૂપે દિલ્હી- મુંબઈ એક્સપ્રેસ હાઈવે નંબર 4 પર સુરત જિલ્લા તરફથી નવસારી તરફ જતો માર્ગ તંત્ર દ્વારા અસ્થાયી ધોરણે બંધ કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો વાહનચાલકોને વૈકલ્પિક માર્ગ નો ઉપયોગ કરવા સૂચના આપવામાં આવી હતી, જ્યારે પરિસ્થિતિ પર વહીવટી તંત્ર સતત નજર રાખી રહ્યું છે
