YSRCP Demands Free, Fair Polling for MPTC and ZPTC Elections in Andhra Pradesh

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) issued a formal demand for free and fair polling ahead of the scheduled Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC) and Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTC) elections in Andhra Pradesh. The party’s statement stressed that transparent voting is essential to uphold democratic values at the grassroots level.

MPTC and ZPTC elections, which determine local self‑government representatives across mandals and districts, are slated to be held later this year. These bodies play a crucial role in rural development, infrastructure projects and welfare scheme implementation, making the integrity of the electoral process a matter of public interest.

YSRCP warned that any irregularities or undue influence could erode voter confidence and hamper the effective functioning of local bodies. The party called on the State Election Commission to deploy adequate security, enforce the model code of conduct strictly, and ensure that all polling stations operate without bias.
