Youth's Neck Cut by Illegal Kite String in Delhi, Police Rush Him to Hospital

A youth riding a scooter on the Delhi-Dehradun highway suffered a deep neck cut after becoming entangled in an illegal kite string. Traffic police promptly took him to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The incident occurred in the north‑east Delhi area as the youth was descending from the Delhi‑Dehradun highway onto a push (ramp) on his scooter. A prohibited kite string (manja) became entangled around his neck, causing a deep laceration from which blood was flowing rapidly.
Seeing the serious injury, traffic police personnel on the spot rushed to his aid. They stopped the bleeding as best they could and immediately transported the youth to the nearest hospital for emergency care.
Medical sources said the prompt action of the police prevented further blood loss and helped save the youth’s life. No further details about his current condition have been released.
