A young man died in Delhi's Vazirabad area when his throat became trapped in a rope used for drying clothes on a rooftop where he had gone to meet his girlfriend.
Police reports indicate that a young man climbed onto a rooftop in the Vazirabad locality of North Delhi to meet his girlfriend. While on the roof, he attempted to use a rope that had been tied for hanging wet clothes. The rope slipped, and the youth's throat became caught, leading to fatal injuries.
Emergency services were called to the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead at the spot. Investigators are treating the incident as an accidental death and have begun a routine inquiry to confirm the circumstances.
