On Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath formally opened a new disaster management headquarters in Lucknow, marking a significant step toward enhancing the state's preparedness for natural and man‑made calamities. The facility, located in the capital’s administrative district, is designed to serve as a central hub for coordinating emergency response, resource allocation, and inter‑agency communication during crises.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior state officials, emergency services personnel, and representatives from the National Disaster Management Authority. Officials highlighted that the new center will house advanced communication equipment, real‑time monitoring systems, and a dedicated command and control room to streamline decision‑making during emergencies.
