Yami Gautam Reveals She Considered Leaving Acting for Farming in Himachal

Actress Yami Gautam disclosed that before the release of her breakthrough film "Uri: The Surgical Strike," she had seriously considered leaving the film industry to pursue a career in agriculture.
She explained that a potential failure of the movie would have prompted her to return to her native Himachal Pradesh and take up farming, reflecting her strong connection to her hometown.
The commercial and critical success of "Uri" altered that trajectory, leading her to continue acting. Gautam, however, acknowledges that she might have chosen a different path had the film not resonated with audiences.
While she remains active in cinema with upcoming projects, she has not ruled out future involvement in farming, keeping the option open as a personal interest.
