During Shardiy Navratri, the Shiv Shakti Cultural Committee staged a Garba at Rajmata Sindhia Stadium, where young women danced holding a sword and a saffron flag while chanting religious slogans.

Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh – The Shiv Shakti Cultural Committee organised a Garba festival at the Rajmata Sindhia Stadium in Nanakheda as part of the Shardiy Navratri celebrations. The event featured a group of young women who performed the traditional dance while brandishing a sword in one hand and a saffron flag in the other, symbolising courage and devotion.

The participants punctuated their steps with loud chants of "Jai Shri Ram" and "Jai Shri Mahakal," creating a vibrant atmosphere that blended cultural expression with religious fervour. Spectators in the pavilion responded with applause, noting the striking visual of the sword‑and‑flag motif against the rhythmic beats.

Organisers said the performance aimed to highlight the spirit of Navratri by showcasing bravery and patriotism alongside traditional dance forms. The Garba concluded with a collective rendition of devotional songs, reinforcing the event’s spiritual tone.

Local authorities reported that the gathering proceeded peacefully, with adequate crowd management and adherence to safety protocols. The festival is part of a series of cultural programmes scheduled throughout the Navratri period in Ujjain.
