A 54‑year‑old worker at Mahindra Enterprise in Noorpur, Jalandhar, suffered a fatal neck injury when her dupatta became entangled in a nut‑making machine.
On Thursday, a 54‑year‑old employee named Archana Kumari was operating a metal‑nut manufacturing machine at Mahindra Enterprise in the village of Noorpur, Jalandhar district. While working, her dupatta slipped into the moving parts of the equipment, causing a catastrophic injury that resulted in her neck being severed from her torso.
The machine, used for shaping iron nuts, continued to run until coworkers noticed the accident and immediately shut it down. Emergency services were called to the site, but the severity of the injury proved fatal.
