Woman vows to emulate Phoolan Devi after hut fire during land survey

A hut belonging to a local farmer caught fire while officials were conducting a land measurement in a rural area. The blaze, which was contained within an hour, left the structure severely damaged. The incident prompted a nearby resident to publicly vow that she would follow in the footsteps of Phoolan Devi, the former bandit who later became a Member of Parliament. She said the fire had highlighted the injustices faced by villagers and inspired her to seek change. Local authorities have not yet issued a statement regarding the cause of the fire.
