Shyamabai, a resident of Chhapri village in Bunda tehsil of Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh, was admitted to a local hospital after drinking a locally sold illicit liquor. While under medical care, her condition worsened and she succumbed to the effects of the toxic brew.
According to her relatives, Shyamabai had a long‑standing habit of consuming alcohol and had ordered the liquor from village sellers the same day she fell ill. They reported that the drink, marketed as a local brand, caused an immediate decline in her health.
