Police in Bhojpur have arrested a woman after her son was found dead. Investigators say the murder was linked to the mother’s opposition to her affair.
Police in Bhojpur district of Bihar arrested a woman on Tuesday after the body of her son was recovered from a nearby field. The 28‑year‑old son was found with multiple injuries, and forensic reports are pointing to a homicide.
According to the investigation, the mother allegedly opposed her son’s relationship with a woman she was involved with. She is accused of orchestrating the killing to silence the son’s objections.
The arrest was made following a tip from a local resident who reported suspicious activity at the family’s residence. The woman was taken into custody at the district police station and is now facing charges under the Indian Penal Code.
Bihar Police have opened a case file and are conducting a thorough inquiry into the motive and any accomplices. The case is expected to be heard in the district court in the coming weeks.
