A woman and her 12‑year‑old daughter went missing from their home in Kajhi Mohammadpur, Muzaffarpur, after being taken away in an auto by their maternal uncle, with jewellery and cash reported stolen.
A resident of the Kajhi Mohammadpur area in Muzaffarpur district was reported missing on Friday night together with her 12‑year‑old daughter. According to the husband, the pair were taken from their house in an auto‑rickshaw by the woman's maternal uncle, who is now the prime suspect.
The husband also disclosed that several pieces of jewellery and a substantial amount of cash were missing from the home, suggesting a possible robbery motive alongside the abduction.
Local police have opened a case under sections relating to kidnapping and theft. Investigators are canvassing the neighbourhood, reviewing nearby CCTV footage and have appealed to the public for any information that could locate the missing women or identify the vehicle used.
