West Central Railway will run 34 extra special trains during the festive season, bringing the total special services to 100 to handle the surge in passengers.
West Central Railway announced the addition of 34 special train services for the upcoming festive season, raising the total number of special trains it will operate to 100.
The extra services are being introduced to manage the surge in passenger traffic expected around major festivals such as Diwali and Navratri, with the railway aiming to provide additional capacity on busy routes across Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
The railway authority said the special trains will run on pre‑determined schedules, and tickets will be available through the usual reservation channels. Passengers are advised to book early as seats are expected to fill quickly.
Officials noted that the move is part of a broader effort to ensure smooth travel during peak periods and to reduce overcrowding on regular services.
