Western Railway announced that a weekly special train will commence service on 2 October, linking Udhna in Gujarat with Kanpur Central in Uttar Pradesh. The move is aimed at easing passenger movement during the upcoming festive season, when demand for long‑distance travel typically spikes.
The train will halt at several major junctions along the route, including Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Agra, Tundla and Itawa, providing additional connectivity for travelers across Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Each stop is expected to facilitate boarding and de‑boarding for passengers heading to regional festivals and family gatherings.
