Counting of paper ballots for four teacher and four graduate seats in the Bihar Legislative Council has begun, with results anticipated later today.
The counting of paper ballots for eight seats in the Bihar Legislative Council has commenced. Four seats belong to the teacher constituency and another four to the graduate constituency, and the process is being carried out in Patna and Saran districts.
Because the election was conducted using physical ballot papers, officials have warned that the declaration of results will take some time. Election officers expect the first set of outcomes from the teacher seats to be announced before the graduate seats.
Stakeholders, including party representatives and candidates, are closely monitoring the tally as the results will determine the composition of the upper house for the coming term. The final figures are slated to be released later today, subject to verification of all counted votes.
The ongoing count reflects the state's effort to complete the Legislative Council elections transparently, adhering to the schedule set by the Election Commission of India.
