The counting of votes for the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council elections is scheduled to commence today, as reported by NDTV.
NDTV reported that the counting of votes for the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council elections is set to begin today. The process will determine the outcome of the seats contested in the recent council polls.
The Legislative Council, the upper house of the state legislature, fills a limited number of seats through indirect elections by various electorates such as local bodies and graduates. This round of counting follows the polling that was recently held.
Election officials have installed electronic voting machines and counting equipment at designated centres across the state. Results are expected to be announced shortly after the counting concludes, clarifying the council's composition.
Political parties and candidates are awaiting the outcome, which could influence the balance of power in Uttar Pradesh's legislative process.
