The Vijay administration announced a ban on student enrollment in the CJP, prompting protests from left‑leaning parties and criticism from the organization itself.

The administration headed by Vijay has issued directives to prevent students from registering with the CJP, citing concerns that were not disclosed in detail. The move aims to curb what officials describe as a growing influence of the organization among youth.

Left‑wing political parties quickly organised demonstrations, accusing the government of curbing democratic freedoms and targeting legitimate student activism. Protesters gathered outside government offices, holding placards and demanding a reversal of the ban.

In response, representatives of the CJP condemned the decision as an arbitrary restriction on the right to association. They urged the authorities to withdraw the order and called for dialogue with student groups.

The standoff highlights the tension between state authorities and political organisations over youth participation in public life, with both sides vowing to continue their respective campaigns.
