Vidyut Jammwal says Discipline Is Non‑Negotiable, Highlights Hollywood‑Bollywood Gap

Vidyut Jammwal, known for his action‑driven roles, shared his observations with Deccan Herald, emphasizing that discipline on set and during training is a non‑negotiable requirement for success. He noted that Hollywood productions enforce rigorous schedules, detailed pre‑planning and a culture of punctuality that leaves little room for improvisation.

In contrast, Jammwal observed that Bollywood often allows more flexibility, with shooting timelines that can shift based on creative decisions or logistical challenges. He argued that while this flexibility can foster spontaneity, it sometimes compromises the consistency and efficiency that he values.

The actor‑martial artist added that his own preparation for stunt‑heavy films involves a disciplined routine of fitness, martial‑arts practice and diet, habits he believes align more closely with Hollywood’s systematic approach. He urged fellow Indian artists to adopt similar standards to elevate the industry’s global competitiveness.
