Vande Bharat Train to Trial Run Between Bengaluru and Mangaluru Today

Indian Railways has scheduled a trial run of the Vande Bharat Express between Bengaluru and Mangaluru today as part of its plan to extend the high‑speed network in Karnataka. The 350‑km route will see the train depart from Bengaluru’s Yesvantpur Junction at 10:00 a.m. and arrive at Mangaluru Junction around 2:30 p.m., demonstrating its speed and passenger amenities. Officials will use the run to evaluate track conditions, signalling systems and safety protocols before a regular service is introduced. The trial is expected to lay the groundwork for future high‑speed connections between major southern cities.
