Uttarakhand to Deploy AI System to Combat Tax Evasion in 4–5 Months

The Uttarakhand government has unveiled a plan to introduce an artificial intelligence system designed to detect and deter tax evasion across several key sectors. The initiative will cover goods and services tax (GST), transport, and forest revenue streams, aiming to streamline compliance and reduce loopholes. Officials said the new platform is expected to become operational in four to five months, following a pilot phase that will test its predictive capabilities.
