Uttarakhand Sees 798 Tonne Waste Collected During Char Dham Yatra Season

Uttarakhand has collected a total of 798 tonnes of waste from its Char Dham pilgrimage sites during the current season. The figure includes waste generated at Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. State officials said the collection was part of a larger cleanliness drive aimed at reducing litter along the pilgrimage routes. The waste was transported to designated disposal sites and processed under the state's waste management guidelines. Officials noted that the effort helps maintain the sanctity of the holy sites and supports the state's environmental objectives.
