Uttarakhand has inaugurated its first direct train service between Ramnagar and Dehradun, linking the Garhwal and Kumaon regions and improving connectivity for passengers.
Uttarakhand has introduced its first direct train service linking Ramnagar in Garhwal to Dehradun in Kumaon.
The Ramnagar–Dehradun Express will run daily, cutting travel time between the two districts and easing passenger movement.
Rail officials said the new service will support tourism and local commerce by providing a reliable link between the two culturally significant regions.
Passengers can now book tickets on the national reservation system, and the train will operate with modern coaches to ensure comfort.
