Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami allocates ₹1 crore for state science infrastructure

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami disclosed that the Uttarakhand government will earmark one crore rupees for the development of science infrastructure in the state. The funding is intended to upgrade existing laboratories, set up new research centres, and improve scientific equipment in schools and colleges.
The allocation comes as part of a broader effort to strengthen STEM education and promote research-oriented learning among students. Officials said the money will be channelled through the state’s Department of Science and Technology to ensure transparent utilisation.
State authorities expect the enhanced facilities to attract more research projects and collaborations with national institutions, thereby boosting the region’s scientific capacity over the coming years.
