Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Dhami launches official logo for Kumbh 2027, outlines ₹2,708 cr road plan

Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami unveiled the official logo for Kumbh 2027 and announced a ₹2,708 crore road development programme to support the pilgrimage.
Dehradun – Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami formally presented the logo that will represent the state’s Kumbh Mela scheduled for 2027. The emblem, featuring traditional motifs and the state’s mountain silhouette, was unveiled during a press conference at the state secretariat.
Alongside the cultural launch, Dhami detailed a comprehensive infrastructure package worth ₹2,708 crore. The plan includes widening existing highways, constructing new link roads, and upgrading bridges to improve connectivity for the expected influx of pilgrims.
State officials said the road projects will be executed in phases, with priority given to routes leading to Haridwar, Rishikesh and other major Kumbh sites. The government aims to complete the core works before the festival’s opening ceremonies, ensuring smoother traffic flow and enhanced safety.
The announcement underscores Uttarakhand’s dual focus on preserving its religious heritage while bolstering economic growth through large‑scale public‑works investments.
