Uttar Pradesh to Launch Jan Seva Kendra 4.0 Aimed at Creating Jobs for Gen Z

The Uttar Pradesh government announced the rollout of Jan Seva Kendra 4.0, a scheme designed to generate employment opportunities for the state’s Generation‑Z population.
The state cabinet, headed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, approved the launch of Jan Seva Kendra 4.0, a digital‑first service hub intended to streamline job creation for young people aged roughly 18‑35.
The initiative will operate through a network of centres across districts, offering skill‑mapping, placement assistance, and direct links to government and private‑sector vacancies. It specifically targets the rising unemployment among Generation‑Z in Uttar Pradesh.
The launch aligns with a broader cabinet agenda that includes more than 19 proposals covering education, health and infrastructure, signalling a concerted effort to boost the state’s economy. Officials said the scheme will be monitored via a dedicated dashboard to track job outcomes.
Initial rollout will begin in Lucknow and Kanpur, with plans to expand to all 75 districts by the end of the fiscal year.
