Uttar Pradesh to Build 330‑km Vindhya Expressway, Cutting Travel Time from 6 to 3 Hours

The Uttar Pradesh government has unveiled a proposal for a 330‑kilometre Vindhya Expressway that is expected to cut travel time between major cities from six hours to three hours. The expressway will run from the northern part of the state to the southern corridor, linking key economic hubs. By providing a high‑speed corridor, the project aims to boost trade, reduce fuel consumption and improve safety on the roads. The proposal is slated for cabinet approval, after which detailed feasibility studies and land acquisition processes will commence.
