The districts under the alert include Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Allahabad, Agra, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Moradabad, Bareilly, Basti, and Gorakhpur. Residents in these areas are advised to secure loose objects, avoid travel on highways, and stay indoors.
The Chief Minister’s office urged local authorities to activate emergency response plans and to monitor weather updates closely. Schools and offices are advised to remain closed until the storm subsides.
