Home Minister Amit Shah said Uttar Pradesh has become investor‑friendly, allowing future investment events to be held in the state after earlier security concerns forced a meet to be shifted to Delhi.

Home Minister Amit Shah told reporters that Uttar Pradesh has now achieved an investor‑friendly environment, signalling a shift in the state's approach to business and industrial promotion. He noted that earlier this year a major investment conference had to be relocated to Delhi because of law‑and‑order concerns in the state.

According to Shah, recent improvements in policing, streamlined clearances and proactive state policies have addressed those concerns, enabling the state government to host future investment summits within Uttar Pradesh itself. The central government’s endorsement is expected to boost confidence among domestic and foreign investors.

Business leaders have welcomed the development, citing Uttar Pradesh's large market, strategic location and improved infrastructure as key attractions. The state aims to leverage this momentum to attract new projects in sectors such as manufacturing, logistics and renewable energy.

The statement comes as part of a broader push by the central government to improve the investment climate across India, with several states competing to showcase their readiness for large‑scale capital inflows.
