Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath highlighted the state's skilled labour, vast market size and robust infrastructure, urging Japan to consider it as a secondary base for its businesses.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath told Japanese investors that the state can serve as a reliable second base for their operations. He emphasized the availability of a large pool of skilled workers, the sheer scale of the local market and ongoing infrastructure projects that enhance connectivity and logistics.

The minister underscored recent developments such as expanded road networks, upgraded power supply and dedicated industrial zones that are designed to meet the needs of foreign enterprises. He also pointed to the state's proactive policies aimed at easing regulatory procedures and providing incentives for investment.

Adityanath expressed confidence that these factors, combined with Uttar Pradesh's strategic location in northern India, make it an attractive destination for Japanese firms seeking to diversify their manufacturing and service footprints.

The remarks were part of a broader outreach effort by the state government to attract foreign direct investment, particularly from Japan, which has shown growing interest in India's manufacturing sector.

Stakeholders from both sides are expected to explore concrete partnership opportunities in sectors such as automotive, electronics and renewable energy, leveraging the state's capabilities and Japan's technological expertise.
